Volunteer

When you give the gift of yourself, it makes a real difference in the lives of those we serve.

Volunteering at Carriage Town Ministries means feeding the hungry, meeting the needs and rebuilding hope for those desperate for a helping hand. Volunteering means sharing God’s love and making someone’s day better. Volunteering means carrying out God’s command to Love Your Neighbor. It is our wish that when you finish your time at CTM, you feel inspired, encouraged and, of course, that you plan to come back! WE NEED YOU!

Volunteers are a huge asset to the ministry. They can be individuals who want to come one-time or those who want to serve weekly. A group, whether church, business, or club can set up a volunteer time designed specifically for you. We also accommodate those who need to log required volunteer hours. There are even a few tasks that can be completed at your location.

Carriage Town Ministries is also seeking energetic and passionate college and postgraduate students who want to pursue, develop and gain knowledge in the nonprofit sector, while serving those in great need. Interns are in social work, education (Summer Education and Enrichment), business and other areas based on need.

If you would like to volunteer, please fill out a volunteer application. An upload of your driver’s license or State Id card is required. Your application will be reviewed within 1-3 business days and further documentation may be required.  Once approved, you will receive an email notifying you of volunteer opportunities you are eligible to sign up for. Also, take a few moments to review our Volunteer Handbook. It helps to know our history, mission and some basic do’s and don’ts to have a fun and rewarding experience.

“After retiring from a 40+ year nursing career, I knew God didn’t want me to just “sit, relax and have fun”. I knew I needed to serve somewhere. I am thankful I found CTM! Working behind the scenes frees up the employees to concentrate on their important tasks. I have found serving in this capacity to be very fulfilling and fun! Thank you CTM for all you do for our community!” —Vicky

We are so grateful for volunteers like Vicky and we always have room for more! There are many opportunities:

  • Prepare or serve meals to residents

  • Give a Message or sing at our evening Chapel service

  • Help with maintenance and groundskeeping

  • Provide an activity, such as a game night or craft time for men, women, or children

These are only a few of the opportunities available. We would love to have you join us!
