TRANSITIONAL EMPLOYMENT
The Transitional Employment Program seeks to break the cycle of homelessness by preparing residents to secure a dependable income stream through successful, sustained employment.
Carriage Town Ministries transitional employment program is designed to give high achieving residents an opportunity to practice self-sufficiency through an employment experience. Jobs are on-campus or with a partnering business. Residents, who have received a recommendation from their mentor are offered an opportunity to interview for open positions. Transitional Employees may be able to move into our transitional Houses.
Some of the jobs in which we offer training are Baking Assistant, Bakery Sales Assistant, Facilities Maintenance Technician, Kitchen Prep Assistant.
It is our mission to instruct and equip every participant with:
Six months paid training
Real job experience
Communication skills
Time management
Conflict resolution
Problem solving skills
