Many come to us weighed down by troubles like unemployment, poverty, addiction, abuse, or homelessness. Even the holidays mean little to them. But often, a warm greeting, a hot meal, and some caring conversation make them feel a whole lot lighter. They enter into the joy of the season and believe in God’s promise that life can be better in the year ahead.
