Volunteers

When you give the gift of yourself it makes a real difference in the lives of those we serve.

Volunteering at Carriage Town Ministries means feeding the hungry, meeting the needs and rebuilding hope for those desperate for a helping hand.

Anyone who would like to volunteer must fill out a volunteer application. Your volunteer application will be reviewed within 1-3 business days and further documentation may be required.  Once approved, you will receive an email notifying you of volunteer opportunities you are eligible to sign up for. Also, take a few moments to review our Volunteer Handbook. It helps to know our history, mission and some basic do’s and don’ts to have  a fun and rewarding experience.

Church Partnerships

We are grateful for the numerous area churches who are faithful supporters with their time, talents and treasure. Is your church interested in serving as a group? Are you interested in holding a Bible study on campus or bringing in your youth for a work day? Would you like someone to come and give a presentation to your church? Please contact us regarding partnering with us to reach the poor.

Corporate/ Business Partners

With your partnership, you can make a positive impact. Collaborating with local businesses/corporations is a priority for our ministry. There are multiple ways your business/corporation  and employees can get involved. Your organization can contribute from volunteering as a group or providing employment opportunities for our residents, to hosting a supply drive for the needed resources within the ministry. We generally accommodate large volunteer groups on Saturdays from 9:00-12:00 pm.  

Community Service 

Do you need community service hours for school or court-mandated hours? We have opportunities for you to serve. You will work with our Volunteer Coordinator to determine the area that best fits your needs and help others in the process. Once fulfilled, our Volunteer Coordinator can prepare and issue a Community Service letter for you and/or your organization/school/court.

Groups

At Carriage Town  Ministries  we are dedicated to bringing people together to make a difference in our community. Partnering with your group  is a great way to work together for this common goal. We hope we can work with your group to open eyes and hearts with each individual creating a positive impact.

Volunteer Opportunities & Updates

• We are currently in need of dinner sponsors to donate dinners for our residents during on kitchen renovations. If you would to make a food donation click below. We are looking to serve approximately 100 people.

 Donation Drives

A drive makes a big impact. And it’s a great way to build community through the shared joy of giving with your friends, workplace or church. Contact our volunteer coordinator to see our needs.

Interns

Carriage Town Ministries is seeking energetic and passionate college and postgraduate students who want to pursue, develop and gain knowledge in the nonprofit sector and to serve those in great need. Interns will work and assist in social work, education (Summer Education and Enrichment)  and other positions  based on need.  Please contact kmurphy@carriagetown.org if you are interested in an internship with us.
