Carriage Town Ministries Health Screening & Education Clinic

Carriage Town opened the free Health Screening and Education Clinic across from the main building on Garland Street. The health clinic provides access to medical, dental, and optometry services at “street level” for Carriage Town residents, non-homeless but extremely poor men, women, and children, and walk-up access for those living in the streets. The clinic is open 8:00 am to 4:00 pm Monday - Friday. We have a licensed PA on staff, Dennis Wallace, as coordinator of the clinic who is able to see  walk-in patients or by patients by appointment.

The Carriage Town Ministries Health Screening and Education Clinic is operated by volunteer medical professionals. Volunteer Dr. Jack Stoker leads our medical screening ministry and sees patients on Wednesday mornings. Dr. Jim Rachor and a team of other great dentists will soon be providing free dental screening and cleaning on Fridays. Dr. Gary Campbell and Dr. Angela Iceberg provide free optical exams and eye health screenings for cataracts and glaucoma and provide free prescription eye wear as needed.
